I am going to have to visit this location more often, I live in Ohio, and this is the closet Cook-Out.
I love it because I am from North Carolina!
And Cookout holds a special place for me!

The Cook Out franchise is the series of restaurants with budget-friendly, fulfilling meals, and is especially popular with college students.
My fiancé got us some classic meals from this Cook Out location, and everything was piping hot and delicious! We got their chicken tenders, fries and onion rings box, and it was all tasty and filling. The staff at this location were also very prompt and friendly.
I definitely recommend this Cook Out location for cheap, fast and filling fast food!

I had heard of this chain through social media, and had always wanted to try it, but I thought it was only available in the Carolinas. We were not disappointed. Lots of food and shakes for two people came out to $17, and everything was delicious.

It was my first experience eating here and I definitely didn’t expect to eat outside, but that was okay for us because the weather was cooler and the rain happened to have stopped before we got there. The person who took our order was very sweet and nice! The wait to get our food was over 25 minutes, which was pretty wild to us since we were the only ones sitting outside waiting (3 people), but hopefully that’s not the norm. The order was accurate and the food was really good. I forgot to take pictures of our burgers, chicken tenders, fries, etc because we were so hungry. But they were good! The cheese bite things were basically tiny mozzarella bites. The cheese fries were delicious. The cheddar burger was awesome. I had the mocha milkshake (pictured) and it was very thick and very yummy. I am gonna try the caramel fudge one next time! They don’t put whipped cream on them, which I liked. Super good. The tables were slightly dirty, but I imagine they get tons of traffic. They currently have a tent over the order window area for sun and rain since inside dining is unavailable. Overall a great time despite the wait. I’ll be back!

I went through the drive through around 2 am. First time going. Pretty simple. 2 drive throughs. They quickly took my order and then gave the food to me. In and out within 8 minutes, which is amazing considering how packed they were for a Saturday night.

he burger is juicy and hits the spot, and the crinkle-cut fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned. the service is fast, so you’re not waiting around long.
the interior is pretty simple, but it works — nothing fancy, just a straightforward vibe that feels comfortable. great!

Cook Out in Lexington is seriously one of the best places to grab food late at night. It’s cheap, fast, and always hits the spot after hanging out with friends or coming back from a game. The trays are the best deal because you get a main item, two sides, and a drink for a super low price. My go-to order is a cheeseburger tray with fries and a chicken quesadilla, plus a milkshake on the side. The milkshakes are thick and creamy, and there are so many flavors that it’s hard to choose just one. The line, especially at night, can be pretty long, but the food makes it totally worth the wait. It’s not fancy at all, but that’s part of what makes Cook Out so fun. It’s definitely a classic college hangout spot in Lexington and always gives off good, casual vibes.
Cook Out in Lexington is honestly a lifesaver when you’re hungry late at night and don’t want to spend a ton of money. It’s super affordable, and the portions are huge. The menu has a crazy amount of options, so there’s always something for everyone. I usually get a tray with chicken tenders, hush puppies, and fries, and it’s always hot and fresh. The milkshakes are definitely the star of the show though, super thick and packed with flavor. I’ve tried Oreo and banana pudding, and both were amazing. The place can get really busy, especially on weekends, but it’s part of the fun since there are always other college students there. It’s not a sit-down restaurant or anything fancy, but it’s perfect for a quick meal that’s filling and delicious. Cook Out has become one of my favorite spots since moving to Lexington.
Cook Out is such a staple in Lexington, especially for college students looking for cheap and good food. I love that you can mix and match whatever you want on the tray menu, it’s fun to try new combinations every time. My favorite is a chicken sandwich tray with fries and onion rings, plus a peanut butter milkshake. Everything always tastes fresh and flavorful, and it never takes too long to get your food

Cookout has really good food for really low prices. Cookouts hours are really awesome and unique; they are rarely ever closed you can not find a resuturant with others like cookout they really are the best! No matter the time of day or night the workers there are always in a good mood and do their job to the best they can.The service at Cookout is always good. I have never had a bad experience there. Going there with your freinds will help you meet new friends because their are always students there. It's a very clean establishment everything from the outside to the inside bathrooms it is very put together and organized. The food is also amazing and their shakes are to die for. The parking is not the greatest as it is very limited but even when you go to cookout you are usually not driving.
